Our Favourite Vegan Eats from Vegan Camp Out 2025: Must-Try Plant-Based Delights
Vegan Camp Out is one of our favourite events of the year. The phenomenal guest speakers, variety of music artists and unique merchandise draw in thousands of eager festival goers every summer, but the thing we look forward to most is the incredible range of food on offer.
There are plant-based eats for everyone at Camp Out: from ‘steaks’, burgers and curries to gyros, poke bowls and smoothies, whether you want junk-food comfort or healthy options, you can eat your way around the world – without having to move far from your tent!
Read on to discover our favourite eats from this year’s Camp Out…and what we’re hoping is on the menu next year.
Where else can you find a cruelty free hog roast with all the trimmings? Their apple sauce and stuffing ‘pulled pork’ burger is both innovative and divine, and the child in me appreciates they have a tater tots side option. To top it off, they’ve now added a smashed cheeseburger to their menu – heaven!
The Hogless Roast slogan ‘No More Bean Burgers’ reflects their culinary revolution perfectly (although I do love a cheeky bean burger now and then), and it’s no surprise to us that they’re multi-award winning too, becoming Uber Eats Trailblazer Award Winners 2025 earlier this year.

This Camden-based eatery offers authentic Sichuan dishes using plant-based meat, such as mock beef and chicken, as well as tofu for the bean curd lovers. We loved their buffet style Camp Out menu because it meant we could try many different dishes. Their special fried rice is simple but delicious, their spring rolls are crisped to perfection, and their sesame prawn toast is to die for.
From traditional options, such as sweet and sour and black bean sauce, to feel-good side dishes and starters, Vegan Planet offers a wide range of good-quality, reasonably priced food – and the portion sizes are very generous too!

Embracing both veganism and Portuguese heritage, this Mediterranean offering is unique in so many ways. The menu is relatively small, which is reflected in the innovation of their food: their offerings are freshly prepared and well presented. We particularly enjoyed their lions mane steak, made with a pressed, marinated and seared mushroom to create a meaty texture. It came with skin-on fries, salad and a mouth-watering peppercorn sauce.
We can’t talk about Plantuguese without mentioning their signature Pastel de Nata (custard tart). While we didn’t try one, we’re aware that they sold like hot cakes and are always one of their most popular offerings.

The UK’s first ‘Mr Whippy’ style vegan ice cream truck made their first appearance at Camp Out this year, and their consistently long queues were testament to how delicious their oat-based creaminess is. All weekend, it seemed you were never a few metres from someone eating a Happy Cow ice-cream!
The beauty of the Happy Cow was that you paid one price and you could have as many toppings as you wanted: from the popular nuts and caramel crunch to the less traditional bubblegum sauce and candyfloss – there were plenty of options to keep you going back for more.

What’s in Store for Next Year?
We hope to see all our old (and new) favourite vendors return to Vegan Camp Out 2026. We’d also love to see the THIS sausage roast (with Yorkie pud) return next year – and a burrito truck would be amazing!
We expect they’ll be even more food stalls next time, as there’s been an increase year on year, plus it will be their 10-year celebration event. This will be our sixth time at Camp Out, and we enjoy it more and more each time we go. We can’t wait for even more amazing talks, music and, of course, grub!
